IN CASE OF FIRE
If You Discover a Fire
Sound the alarm by breaking the glass of the alarm found either in the foyer, large room or the kitchen.
On Hearing the Fire Alarm
Call the fire brigade
Evacuate the building, quickly and calmly, by the nearest safety route. There is a fire exit in the far left hand corner of the main room. Follow exit signs. DO NOT RUN. If possible, check that no one is left behind, e.g. in a toilet. Assist those with disabilities.
Close all doors behind you to contain the fire, and to prevent smoke from spreading.
Proceed to the assembly point, the car park at the front of the building. The leader should do a head count, and ask those present if the people who were sitting next to them have come out. Wait for permission to leave the site.
Do NOT tackle the fire using the appliances available UNLESS it is safe to do so. There are fire extinguishers in the lobby and the kitchen. There is a fire blanket in the kitchen.
